Bandwidth is a computer term that refers to the total available amount of data that you can simultaneously upload and download at a single time over an Internet connection. If you want to monitor your Internet connection's bandwidth in the Windows Vista operating system, you can do so by viewing the constantly updating statistics of your connection in the Network and Sharing Center.
Difficulty: EasyInstructions1Click "Start" and click "Control Panel."
2Click "Network and Sharing Center."
3Click your Internet connection's name in the "Connection" portion of this window. A "Status" window will open, containing all information that you need to monitor your computer's available bandwidth. You can view the total connected speed of your connection as well as see exactly how many bytes of information are being sent and received at a given moment.
